We specialise in windscreen chip repair
We use high-quality resin to make sure that your windscreen looks good on the surface, and properly bound and cured onto the cracks to avoid further repairs in the future. You can give us a call or bring your car over to our shop so our technicians can examine the extent of the damage.
Types of windscreen damage
Key things that determine if a windshield chip can be repaired:
- Size of the chip
Windscreen cracks and chips vary in size and degree of severity. We can typically repair chips with a diameter of an inch or less, or cracks that are no longer than 18 inches. But if the chip has more than three long cracks or a pit size of more than ⅜ of an inch, a replacement may be required. In order to get a proper assessment, we highly recommend that you visit our premises so our technicians can provide you with the proper recommendation. - Location
We may recommend a windscreen replacement if the crack or chip is located within the critical viewing area or at the edge of your windscreen. A replacement may also be necessary if the damage extends to both the exterior and interior layers of the windscreen glass. - Number of previous repairs
If your windscreen has had a total of eight or more repairs in the past, your windshield glass may no longer be in its toughest shape and thus a replacement might be needed. We may also require a windscreen replacement if two or more previous repairs have been located on the driver’s critical viewing area.
Covered by insurance
